What Is Occupational Therapy (OT)?
At Discovery Speech and Occupational Therapy LLC, the occupational therapy focus is on providing individualized services for pediatric clients in need of improving skills in his/her daily occupations. A child’s primary occupation is play! Other daily occupations include school readiness skills, social skills within the community, and family roles. Our goal is to increase a child’s ability to achieve his/her highest potential within occupations on a daily basis.
“The ‘occupation’ of children is to thrive, and occupational therapy practitioners work with children and young adults, from infancy through college, and their families to facilitate participation and independence." See more at the American Occupational Therapy Association.

"Carole Fleming has been my son’s occupational therapist for two years. She has a playful nature and is endlessly understanding and patient working to help strengthen my son’s fine motor skills. Carole is sensitive, very knowledgeable, and always trying to help. She absolutely loves her job, and it shows! I highly recommend Carole and Discovery Speech and Occupational Therapy."
